OUR STORY

HIVE was founded by Mitch and Diana Mitchem because someone had to do something about the answer. Not write about it. Not keynote about it. Actually build something. Together in 2021, they both built HIVE first as a human skills development hub and then in 2022 emerged as the leaders in how to use human skills to make interfacing with AI far more effective. In short, they built a team to make AI useful.

Mitch Mitchem has spent three decades standing in front of people. Over 10 million of them across 4,000 stages in 12 countries. Performer. Founder. Speaker. Author. He has watched humans slowly hand themselves over to systems that were never designed to give anything back. He wrote a book about it. He built a company about it. And then he and the team at HIVE built an app about it. Mitch studied improv comedy at Second City, Chicago, and Psychology at Colorado Christian University.

Diana Mitchem is the operational foundation of everything HIVE does. The systems, the partnerships, the people, the details that hold a vision together when everything is moving at once. HIVE does not exist without her. Diana immigrated to America at the age of 12, taught herself English by 14, and graduated from the Colorado University Boulder, with two pre-med degrees. She is also the heart of the HIVE education effort.

Combined, they took their human skills experience and built a company that trained over 100,000 people in three years, worked with some of the world's top brands, and truly changed the face of human AI interaction.

Our CTO Mitch Lane has spent years inside the architecture of technology and AI. Building it. Fighting it. Testing it. Breaking it. And coming out the other side with a truth nobody in tech wants to say out loud. He and Mitch Mitchem have a long history. They together built the worlds first dating app in the cannabis space, HIGH THERE, and took it to countries all over the world, and over one million users.
